Marco Volcy releases his new music video

« Rien du tout »

Montréal, June 16, 2022 — Montreal artist Marco Volcy releases his latest music video “Rien du tout” which brilliantly presents the issues associated with the representativeness of diversity within our community. The purity of the message is beautifully illustrated in this video imbued with simplicity and truth. Under a catchy rhythm combining Soul and R'nB, the beauty of the lyrics is striking.

Lyrics from « Rien du tout » :

“In the photo how could you
If you knew how much you disappointed me
You show us off but nobody looks like me
How do you expect us to learn to live together
Yet when I think of you I always trust
You send me the back of your hand as soon as you have the chance
I'm not worried I know you'll be fine
I love you from afar don't ask me to come back

Montreal born Marco Volcy entered the world music genre like a storm. His talents as a multi-instrumentalist and music producer have allowed him to work with internationally renowned artists such as Daniel Lavoie, Corneille and Matt Pokora.

ÂME-SOUL (2000)

Marco's debut album received great reviews, more than a promising start. The artist has surrounded himself with musicians such as famous jazz pianist Oliver Jones, Oscar Peterson Prize winner Charles Biddle Sr. and Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Lavoie, with whom he performed the song "Plus qu'une femme".

C’EST MOI (2010)

Marco chose a new direction for his second album. In this opus, the artist has not hesitated to embrace different sounds, adding more than a slight touch of Caribbean vibrations. Marco's second album "C’est moi" showed his maturity, both in his musical compositions, his writing and in his voice, rounder and warmer, evoking his emotion with perfect ease.

CHASSER NOS RÊVES (2013)

After touring in France for a year, opening for his artist colleague Corneille, Marco released his third album "Chasser nos rêves" in 2013. The success of the album resonates quickly. He is invited to tour in France for a second time iopening for Corneille's concerts. This time, he will perform in the legendary venue of L'Olympia de Paris, Le Bataclan and La Cigale.

ESCALE (2017)

Launched during the Francofolies de Montréal in June 2017, the album "Escale" reveals a more raw side of the artist. On stage, Marco lives his truth with the public by offering performances full of emotions through the energy of the edgy musical arrangements of his songs. Nostalgia for past encounters, living with our own history, and the search for happiness, are the predominant subjects of this 4th album which also offers, for the first time, a few songs in English.

HAÏTI: SI TON HISTOIRE M'ÉTAIT CONTÉE (2023)

Marco Volcy's 5th album is a musical project which aims to make the history of Haiti better known to our young people in the diaspora and to strengthen, where appropriate, the development of their self-esteem. The songs are written by Marc-Yves Volcy and Marco signs the music as well as the musical arrangements.
